Peter Frisk, guide and activities.

Stockholm, Gothenburg, Paris, etc.

Assigned Stockholm Medal 2011 - motivation:

"By Peter Frisk hikes, many for the first time understood the implications of the proposed redevelopment of Slussen (Foster's Slussen Draft) - where the buildings would stand and what prospects would be obscured. With knowledge and enthusiasm, Peter Frisk described how thoughtful Slussen is so those who participated in the walks have been able to see beyond today's dirt and decay, and also been able to understand why the area designated by the National Heritage Board as an environment of national interest for cultural heritage management in Stockholm. ".

This is some of what Peter has to offer in connection with the mission.

On this page you will find a little of the Peter Frisk can offer in connection with the mission. We can put together programs (eg: a bunch of companies that started with breakfast in the Old City, walking for an hour, late lunch at Victoria in Kungsan and then a walk to the Sture cat and the coffee and pastry. A nice little package). In Gothenburg, Peter has contact with a local celebrity who has beer tasting and you can piece together hiking and beer tasting.

Göteborg.

Then a few years back, I "majbo," and commutes between Gothenburg and Stockholm. It's really interesting to take note of the two cities' olka diverse nature. In Gothenburg, I live in a so-called landshövdingahus on Djurgårdsgatan. For the uninitiated means "majbo" that they live in the district Majorna in Gothenburg and that here has been a livestock farm ... hence the street name.

"Strange" think some, "you're in Stockholm and still talks about the city of Gothenburg ...?"

Yes, it may seem strange (yet more remarkable, it is well when I also turn up in Paris). I now have the privilege to commute between these cities and very happy with it. Stockholm has its charm and character and Gothenburg have her. It's really two different cities to manner and style and those living in the two cities are different. Now I have the privilege to like both - both Stockholm and Gothenburg and Stockholm residents and Göteborg.

Finally, I have also created a couple of pleasant cultural tours in Gothenburg.

In Albert & Herbert Haga ....

On 15 School Street in the old Haga in Gothenburg there were in the 1970s, a retired scrap dealer named Albert. Albert had a son, Herbert, or rather "Hebbe Lelle", who does not want more than to move so far away he could from his father. They had a horse named Hercules who rode around in the shabby neighborhood that would razed to the ground ... which tilll some extent occurred.

Now these gentlemen belong with the horse the fictional world. But they live. In people's memory, they live in the same way as the old Haga live in the older part of the population of Gothenburg. Culture hike "In Albert & Herbert Haga ..." based on the TV series that went on Swedish television from 1974-1979 and as Christmas calendar 1982nd

For many years, I have a good friend in Stockholm. He runs a course of trade in the Old Town of Stockholm, and is not that a little different Albert. The thing is that his father was an antique dealer in just Haga during the 60's and 70's and was called "Bengt Haga." My good friend Eddie is also, as well as his father, the descendants' genealogy with architect Carlberg family which was urban architects in Gothenburg and Stockholm in the 1600 and 1700s. From Eddie, I have received a lot of information to trek which can not be obtained otherwise than by talking.

"In Albert & Herbert Haga ..." is a historical walk of Haga in Gothenburg and takes about 1 hour.

Finally, I have also created a couple of pleasant cultural tours in Gothenburg.

Majorna around on the bike - Gothenburg History.

Since a few years ago so I'm majbo. For the uninitiated, it means that you live in the district Majorna in Gothenburg. The district is known for its landshövdingahus and there is a wealth of historical favorite places to visit.

The tour begins at Gathenhielmska house and on our bikes we pass including Charles John School, designed by Gunnar Asplund 1928, the Stockholm City Library architect. Around the Karl Johan Plan is most lovely wooden buildings from the early 1900s and the tour moves on and off the cliff and the former sugar mill started avDavid Carnegie mud. Then, we get into the neighborhoods that Albert Lilienberg planned -Kungsladugård who is appointed to the national interest. The houses were built in three stories between 1916-1930 with small idyllic courtyards and squares of varying shape of a human scale far removed from today's densification zeal. We move on to another 30 or so in an entirely different style at majvallen and bikes since Bangatan away against Stigberget.

The tour takes about 2 hours.

From Fürstenberg to Fürstenberg.

In Brunnsparken in central Gothenburg is today a newly renovated "Palace". At one time, referred to as "Fürstenberg Palace". From this 1700s palace, designed by Carl Harleman, begins tour "From Fürstenberg Fürstenberg."

Why this title for a hike?

In the palace lived art patron Pontus Fürstenberg with his life partner Göthilda Magnus in the late 1800s and hit Swedish artists arrived en masse; Carl Larsson, Ernst Josephson, Hugo Birge, Anders Zorn and Per Hasselberg (behind the cockpit Johanna Brunnsparken or that it's actually called "Såningskvinnan").

In the spring of 1902 died Pontus Fürstenberg and after some rides were hung up in the collection "Fürstenberg Gallery" in the Gothenburg Museum of Art. The Art Museum was opened at Gothenburg 300th anniversary 1923rd

The walk takes us from Brunnsparken and up towards the Avenue of the clearance in front of the Gothenburg Art Museum's entrance. The theme of the tour is the art and the artists that are woven together with the Gothenburg 1800 and 1900-century history. The tour takes about 1.5 hours.

Lectures.

I lecture on art, history, architecture, literary personalities and although various contemporary urban projects. The lectures lasting in most cases in one hour. They can of course adjust the length. I see the visual is very important to understand and to make things understandable and uses slide shows with many pictures. It is said that as a lecturer has an easy and understandable way and that the lectures are funny. It should of course be fun and enjoyable to learn new things.

I also create customized lectures. It can be about the neighborhood where you have your company or district where you live. I'm bookable worldwide and has also launched a novelty: living room lectures (read more about that here).

From the Grand Palais to the Swedish Club.

We start hiking at the bottom of the Champs-Elysées, where the Grand -and the Petit Palais is located - both built for the World Expo 1900. From here we take a view towards the Palais Royal and passes including the French presidential palace, the Place Vendôme with the famous Hotel Ritz where greats like Marcel Proust and Hemingway lived, jeu de Paum, Place de la Concorde and Place Madeleine. On the Swedish Club stands among other things, Alfred Nobel's desk and we will also hear the exciting story of how Paris was rescued by a Swedish during World War II. For those who have the strength we continue further away towards the Palais Royal, where the French Revolution began.
