Gran Alacant.
Gran Alacant is situated north of the town of Santa Pola, bounded on the west by the CV-92 (former N-332) and the
Clot de Galvany, north of Arenales del Sol and south of Santa Pola.
In recent years the population in Gran Alacant evolved exponentially, from 1,012 registered inhabitants in 2000 to 11,319 years
in 2013. From this year experienced a slight decline in population, dropping to 9040 years in 2014.
2014 Gran Alacant consisted of the following urbanisations: Altomar I and Altomar II, Brisa Mar / Melody, the Brisas del Faro / Golden Olive, Carabassi, Costa Hispania, Don Pueblo, El Faro, Gran Alacant, Gran Vista, Mediterranean, Melody Monte Faro, Monte y Mar, Novamar, Panoramic, Pino Mar, Puerto Marino, Sierra Mar, Blue Dream, Victoria Beach Gran Alacant, Vista Bay, San Sebastian, Izaro Island Villabona, Carabassi Lomas Santa Pola Life Resort and Balcones de Mar.

Activities.
Paragliding (Spanish Parapete) is an air sports where a paraglider pilot fotstartas and take out into the air. The pilot is strapped into a harness under a tygsegel. With him the pilot except paraglider and harness also a rescue shield, called a nödskärm, as in emergency triggered by the pilot and then work as a normal parachute.
